Killin Hogmanay

4 years ago Killin News

Killin Hogmanay will see a slightly adjusted evening compared to past Hogmanay events, with an aim to making the event sustainable.

Lantern walk from Pavillion – 7.30pm, to lead to the Falls of Dochart.

Music from Marit and Rona – 8.00pm, break at 9pm.
The duo fell into playing together when they were studying in Newcastle. In 2012 they won the coveted Danny Kyle Award at Glasgow’s Celtic Connections Festival and Rona was named BBC Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year.

Music continues at 11pm sharp, leading into the Hogmanay fireworks.

Photo of the evening will be posted to our media section.

where are Marit and Rona playing?

    • There is a small marquee going into the Falls of Dochart Inn car park for them to play under for the earlier session, I heard this will be brought forward nearer the road closer to the bells.
