Notes from the meeting of Killin Community Council on 11th March 2008 in Killin Primary School.

MATTERS ARISING

SYHA COMMUNITY COUNCIL CANNOT BUY THE YOUTH HOSTEL

RURAL HOUSING A PROPSAL FOR 6 HOUSES AT THE BALLECHROISK SITE 1 BUNGALOW ADAPTABLE FOR DISABLED TO INCLUDE 2X3 BEDROOM AND 4X2 BEDROOM
ZEBRA CROSSING ONGOING

CEMETERY SIGN HAS BEEN ERECTED

AREA NETWORK ASBO’S NOT WORKING POSSIBLE BLANKET DRINKING BAN ON THE STREETS.
2 LETTERS OF COMPLAINT ABOUT THE MESS AND NOISE HAVE BEEN RECIVED.
THE LOCAL POLICE ATTENDED TO HELP WITH THE DECISION ABOUT A LOCAL DRINKING BAN ON THE STREETS THEY SAID IT COULD BE HELPFULL
A VOTE WAS TAKEN ABOUT THE BAN AND 9 COUNCILORS VOTED FOR .
HOWEVER IT WAS TO DECIDED TO DISCUSS THE MATTER FURTHER AT A PUBLIC MEETING ALL WILL BE INVITED.
A SMILEY FACE SPEED INDICATOR WAS DISCUSSED, TO HELP WITH SPEEDING IN THE VILLAGE.
NEXT MEETING 1st THURS IN JUNE LES GOODFELLOW IS TO ATTEND

STREET LIGHTS IF YOU SEE A STREET LIGHT OUT PLEASE CALL THE COUNCIL ON THE NUMBER ON THE LIGHT AND THEY WILL FIX IT WITHIN A DAY OR SO.
CLYDE RALLY GLASGOW TO INVERNESS. IN THE PARK ON THE 10th JUNE
COLOURED DOOR A COMPLAINT HAS BEEN MADE BY THE NATIONAL PARK ABOUT A DOOR THAT HAS BEEN PAINTED AN UNUSUAL COLOUR WE THEREFOR ADVISE THAT YOU CHECK WITH THE NATIONAL PARK BEFORE YOU PAINT YOUR DOORS ETC.
SCOTTISH WATER A LETTER IS TO BE WRITTEN TO ASK IF THE CURRENT SEWER PIPES COULD BE UPGRADED AS THEY ARE PAST THEIR BEST.
DOG POO THERE HAS BEEN A REPORT OF EXCESS DOG POO ON LYON ROAD COULD THE CULPRIT PICK IT UP. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN A REQUEST FOR A POO BIN AT THE DOCHART ROAD CAR PARK.
