BIO ENERGY PLANT

A PROPOSAL TO BUILD A BIO ENERGY PLANT IN AUCHARN WOODS IN AN AREA OF 2 HECTARES. IT WOULD USE LOW GRADE WOOD AND STUMPS ALL NEAR THE SITE. THE FURTEST WOOD WILL BE MOVED WOULD BE 30 MILES A SAVING ON THE TRANSPORT OF MATERIALS IE. 100-150 THOUSAND LORRY MILES. THE SITE WOULD PRODUCE ELECTRICITY FOR THE NATIONAL GRID BY BURNING 60,000 TONS OF WOOD CHIPS A YEAR WITH ONLY 1000 TONS OF POT ASH WASTE.THE SITE BUILDING WOULD BE 20M X 30M BY 20M HIGH WITH A CHIMNEY. 30 JOBS WOULD BE CREATED WITH 2-4 OF THEM ON THE ACTUAL SITE. THE SITE WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH THE EXISTING CYCLE TRACK AND WOULD TAKE 18MONTHS TO COMPLETE AFTER PLANNING AND A CONNECTION TO THE GRID. IT WOULD BE 5 MEGA WATT SITE, WHICH PRODUCES THE SAME POWER AS A 20 MEGA WATT WINDFARM SITE. THERE WOULD BE 8 LORRIES A DAY OF WOOD AND NO NOISE AT WEEKENDS OR OUT OF NORMAL WORKING HOURS. CEMETERY MORE WEED KILLER HAS BEEN SPREAD, KISSING GATE TO BE FIXED, SHUTTERING TO BE PUT ROUND THE EDGES OF THE GRASS AND GRAVEL TO BE TOPPED UP. NEW BENCH TO BE PLACED AND FINLARIG ESTATE HAS BEEN ASKED TO CUT BACK THEIR TREES.

VILLAGE OFFICER A VILLAGE OFFICER HAS BEEN FOUND BUT STIRLING COUNCIL IS TRAILING THEIR FEET ABOUT EMPLOYING THEM. CLLR OWEN TO ATTEND TO.

ROAD MAINTENANCE
MAIN STREET NOT TO BE FIXED UNTIL THE SPRING, AS THE WEATHER IS TO BAD.
ZIG ZAG LINES TO BE REPLACED, AS IT IS A HAZARD S.D.C. NOT KEEN ON REPLACING THEM EITHER UNTIL SPRING.

SKIP BOTTLE BANKS TO BE MOVED TO TOP CAR PARK WHILE UPGRADE WORK IS DONE ON BOTTOM CARPARK. COMPOST SITE IS CLOSED FOREVER AS NO RESOURCES.
