MINUTES OF MEETING TUESDAY 11th SEPT 2007 IN Killin Primary School

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING
APPROVED PROP K RIDDELL 2nd A DOWLING.

MATTERS ARISING
RURAL HOUSING SUZANNE AND KAY WENT TO THE MEETING ON BALLECHROISK DEVELOPMENT. GOT BACKGROUND ON RURAL HOUSING. IT WAS SURPRISING THE AMOUNT OF LOCALS STILL AWAITING HOUSING. FURTHER MEETING WEDNESDAY 26th OR THURSDAY 27th SEPT AT 7PM IN KILLIN LIBRARY.

ZEBRA CROSSING COST OF REPLACING WITH A PELICAN CROSSING WILL BE ABOUT £20,000
CLLR WOODS STILL ATTENDING TO.

CEMETERY SIGN STILL ONGOING.

AREA NETWORK ARTS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN MCLAREN HALL KILLIN IN APRIL 2008.
CHIEF INSPECTOR FINLATER IS TALKING ON ASBO’S AT NEXT MEETING IN NOVEMBER, WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE TROSSACHS AREA.

COMMUNITY FUTURES MEETING 3rd OCT TO SET UP DEVELOPMENT TRUST HOPEFULLY BY NEXT COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING. EAK EVENT IN MCLAREN HALL ON 22nd SEPT LOCAL FOOD FOR LOCAL PEOPLE.
RESORCE CENTRE IS THIS STILL VIABLE
LITTER STREET CLEANING AND VILLAGE OFFICER. MAY MOVE TO A HIT SQUAD TACTIC RATHER THAN HAVE A VILLAGE OFFICER A REVIEW IS BEING MADE NO POSITION TO BE FILLED UNTILL REVIEW COMPLETE. WE NEED TO PUSH COUNCIL FOR A NEW VILLAGE OFFICER AS CALLANDER HAS JUST BEEN APPOINTED A NEW PERSON.
ADDITIONAL BINS HAVE BEEN ASKED FOR. LOCAL SITES WERE VISITED AND IT WAS AGREED MORE BINS WERE NEEDED.

ROADS COUNCIL HAS ALLOCATED £500,000 FOR C CLASS ROADS AND ARDEONAIG ROAD HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR SOME OF MONEY. MORE PEOPLE ARE NEED TO FIGHT FOR OUR NEEDS

A.C.O.B. AMBULANCE, JOHN MACPHERSON, ANTHONY DOWLING AND WILLIE ANGUS HAD A MEETING WITH BRUCE CRAWFORD ON 7th SEPT 07 TO DISCUSS THE SITUATION WITH THE AMBULANCE SERVICE A LIST OF DRUGS AVAILABLE FROM THE PARAMEDICS WAS GIVEN AND A FURHER MEETING WITH GRANT GORDON WAS ARRANGED TO FIND OUT WHAT THE COMMUNITY WANTED. JOHN MADE HIS POINT OVER ABOUT HOW USELESSAND DANGEROUS THE SYSTEM WAS; THEY TOOK IT ON BOARD AND WILL GET BACK TO HIM.
AN EVENING SURGERY WAS SUGESTED FOR THOSE WHO WORK.BUT IT IS UNLIKELY.

FLOODING SIMON BAIN OF RURAL HOUSING TO GET THE PROBLEM SOLVED SOON FIONA TO CALL FOR UPDATE.

ARDEONAIG ROAD CLLR WOODS CHALLANGED STIRLING COUNCIL FOR A ROADMAN THIS WAS A NO BUT A HIT SQUAD MAYBE.

MANSFIELD DRAIN COVER STILL NOT FIXED

DOG BINS ASKED FOR MORE

OLD MART THE GROUND HAS BEEN GIVEN THE GO AHEAD FOR BUILDING.

BUSHES AND TREES AT THE BRIDGE HAVE BEEN CUT DOWN AND LOOKING GOOD.

BUSHES ON PAVEMENT AT THE GLEBE OWNER WERE GIVEN 28 DAYS BY COUNCIL TO CUT THEM BACK.

HOGMANY FIREWORKS TO GO AHEAD

BROKEN GLASS IS EVERYWHERE BOTTLES GLASSES ETC SEEMS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH YOUNG DRINKERS AND LATE NIGHT DISRUPTION. PHONE CALLS TO THE POLICE WILL CREATE AN LOG OF INCIDENTS AND HOPEFULLY HELP SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

SIGN POST AND SPEED SIGN IS MISSING AT THE BRIDGE OF LOCHAY END OF THE VILLAGE CLLR FFINCH TO DAEL WITH.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP GATHERING SAT 3rd NOV DRYMEN.

GIVEWAY SIGN HAS BEEN PAINTED ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD. CAN IT STAY THE WAY IT IS? CLLR FFINCH IS TO ENQUIRE TO AMBULANCE SERVICE AND THE COUNCIL.
