Sron A’ Chlachain
Sron A’ Chlachain is a strenuous, very steep two mile hill path to the west of Killin. Starting from Breadalbane Park and ascending 400m above the village, this route offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Tarmachan Ridge, Ben Lawers, Loch Tay, Ben More, Killin, Glen Dochart and Glen Lochay amongst others.
To the south west of Killin lies Acharn Forest, mainly a mixed conifer plantation with areas of woodland and moorland throughout. National Cycle Route 7 runs through the forest along which the route follows, as well with numerous forest access tracks.
Following a private estate road, which was part of the old Breadalbane Estate, the Auchmore Circuit is to the south of the River Dochart and joins the public road that runs along the south side of Loch Tay.
