    Greetings from Canada

My ggggfather Duncan Brown was a hotelkeeper in Killin we are told, and he married Janet Macintosh.

Their son Alexander Brown ( 1835-1910) married Margaret Garrow ( 1838-1933) and migrated to Canada in the late 1850’s to Apsley Ontario.

My mother visited Killin in the 1960’s and visited the Brown home, which she remembers as a four unit dwelling very near the Falls. She says the house was second from the end when you enter the village.

I realise that things change, and the house may no longer exist. When mother visited she was told the Browns still owned the house but were away in South Africa.

We know little more about the family background. We know most of the descendants in Canada, but are quite curious to learn more.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    Alex Macdonald
