I am from Alberta, Canada and am planning on visiting Killin possibly this summer. My Mother & herfamily were from Killin. I was hoping that I could find out if anyone would have any knowledge or information on where they would have lived as it would be nice to see where I was raised as a baby before immigrating to Canada. My Grandfather’s name was
William Fraser and married to Edith Sanderson.
Apparantly they owned a rooming house or hotel in Tayview. I do not know the exact time period but do know they were there in the 1940’s. My Mother’s name was Mary Evelyn Fraser and had a sister Jan.
If anyone can remember the family and know if the building is still standing I would appreciate any and all information

    Hi Doug,,

    Hi Doug,
Did your mother have a brother or other male relative who remained on in Killin. I remember a man who would be in his 60/70s in the 1960s who stayed at the Craigard. I can’t at the moment remember his first name but it will come to me. There are a couple of women I know though who might remember your mother and when I am home I will ask them.
