Stirling Council Public Transport
Bus Service C60: Callander – Killin
Bus service C60 between Callander and Killin is currently operated by Kinghouse Travel Ltd on behalf of Stirling Council. The contract contains a clause whereby it may be terminated voluntarily by the operator or the Council giving at least four months’ notice to the other party.
Due to an anticipated shortage of PSV –qualified drivers next year, Kinghouse Travel Ltd have given notice of voluntary termination of the contract, such that their final day of operation will be Saturday 30th December 2017. The company will continue to provide the Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) services for the Council.
The Council is about to consider how best to replace this service from January 2018.
There are three main options:
- ‘like for like’ replacement of the bus service;
- replacement of the bus service with an amended timetable
- replacement of the bus service by a DRT service.
Stirling Council is open to hearing the views of the communities’ who are supported by this service. Public Transport will be holding the following sessions to allow you to discuss the various options.
Friday 22nd September from 2.00pm till 4.00pm at McLaren Hall Killin
Monday 25th September from 6.00pm till 8.00pm at Killin Primary School Killin
It is proposed that a meeting also takes place in Lochearnhead Village Hall week commencing 25th September, but a final date is still to be confirmed.
