My maternal grandfather was Donald Thomson who was minister in Killn from 1932 to 1954 when he retired. His gravestone is in the new graveyard(died 1957) and there is a plaque to him in the church.I would be grateful for any info about his time in Killin

    Hi Dougie,
I don’t know if you still check this forum (I see that you put this post up in 2007) but I just thought I’d let you know that I have some photographs of Donald Thomson and his wife Bella Ann Thomson nee Murray which I have scanned in and would be glad to share with you. Bella Ann was my great grandmother’s sister. I would also have a favour to ask of you however: I am currently doing a family history project and am desperately attempting to find out as much information as I can about this line of the Murray family: Bella Ann (your grandmother who lived latterly in Portobello) Marion (my great grandmother) and their siblings: Alexander, John Murdo, Catherine and Annie. Do you have any memories of Bella Ann or does anyone in your family? I would be really glad to hear from anyone who does. I have a wealth of information and memories on all of her siblings that I would be glad to share with you. Please post a message here letting me know whether you are interested, and I’ll send you my e-mail address to provide you with more information. Keeping my fingers crossed!
    All the best,
    Gordon.

I forgot to mention to anyone viewing this message board, if you knew Bella Ann Thomson or Rev Donald Thomson (or know of somebody who did) and know of any way of getting in touch with their descendants, please let me know. My e-mail address is gordoniainmackie@hotmail.co.uk
Any leads at all would be greatly appreciated.
    Gordon
